The 2020 China IC Leadership Summit and the China IC Design Achievement Awards ceremony concluded successfully. Long Dongqing, CEO of Shenzhen XTX Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'XTX'), and Wang Bin, Executive Vice President, were invited to attend the award ceremony and received two awards on behalf of the company: 'Top Five Potential Chinese IC Design Companies' and 'EE Times Silicon 100 Award-Winning Companies in China'. Wang Bin delivered an excellent speech at the summit titled 'Development Opportunities for Domestic Code-Type Memory Manufacturers'.
On June 28, 2020, the '2020 China IC Leadership Summit and China IC Design Achievement Awards Ceremony,' organized by ASPENCORE's three media outlets—EE Times China, Electronic Design, and International Electronic Business Weekly—was grandly held in Shanghai. The event gathered the most prominent local IC leaders and technical decision-makers in China's semiconductor industry, along with over a hundred experienced design engineers, to discuss breakthroughs and future growth strategies for 'China's Chips.'
During his speech on the development and opportunities of domestically produced code-type memory, Wang Bin from XTX Technology mentioned that with the rise of 5G+AIoT, the new infrastructure led by 5G technology, cloud computing, IDC, edge computing, and the automotive market present significant growth potential. NOR Flash, which ensures data security and reliability as a code-type storage solution, is experiencing rapid market growth.
Wang Bin, Executive Vice President of Xintianxia, delivering a speech on-site
Additionally, Wang Bin emphasized the three major application scenarios of 5G+AIoT and the demand for code-type memory: 1) 5G high-bandwidth applications, where the construction of China's 5G network base stations is accelerating into a scale recommendation period, with the number of national 5G base stations expected to grow steadily over the next three years. Each base station requires multiple 512Mb-1Gb NOR Flash products. Devices related to 5G communication include smartphones, the 5G upgrade wave, optical innovations, smart wearables such as TWS/AirPods, AR/VR products, which increasingly require low-power NOR Flash products; 2) Massive connection applications, where AIoT assists in the intelligent upgrading of traditional industries, with numerous smart home devices and voice processing applications, such as smart speakers and smart alarms, appearing in consumers' hands in the tens of millions annually; 3) Low latency and high reliability applications, including artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, and industrial IoT, which are rapidly increasing market demands. He stated that XTX Technology currently focuses on the research and sales of code-type memory, including NOR series NOR MCP, SPI NOR, and NAND series SPI NAND, NAND MCP, SD NAND, all closely aligning with the opportunities brought by the 5G new infrastructure wave.
Five prominent guests, including Professor Wei Shaojun, President of the IC Design Branch of the China Semiconductor Industry Association and Director of the Institute of Microelectronics at Tsinghua University, Liu Guojun, General Manager of Imagination China, Xu Wei, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association, Li Yanfeng, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Gople Technology, and Wu Zhenzhou, Vice Chairman of the Electronic Components Application and Supply Chain Branch of the China Information Industry Chamber of Commerce, jointly attended the closing roundtable forum of the summit. He mentioned that despite the US-China trade friction and the impact of the pandemic, XTX has consistently invested heavily in R&D, continuously building the company's core competitiveness, providing high-quality products, and continuously creating value for customers. He also believes that the key to narrowing the gap with leading global semiconductor companies lies in persistently attracting top-tier talent and continuously cultivating talent teams, persistently investing in market-oriented R&D and technological innovation. In the face of global changes, XTX's business has steadily progressed, eagerly seeking talented individuals. Other guests also shared professional insights from other perspectives within the semiconductor industry, making the roundtable lively and filled with applause.
Dragon Dongqing, CEO of XTX, participated in the roundtable discussion on-site.
After the meeting, the organizers awarded XTX two prizes at the China IC Design Achievement Awards ceremony: 'Top Five Chinese Potential IC Design Companies' and 'EETimes Silicon 100 Award-Winning Company in China'.
About EE Times Silicon100 and China IC Design Achievement Awards
The 'EE Times Silicon 100' began in 2004 as an extension of the 'Silicon 60,' independently selected by EE Times USA. It aims to recognize the 100 most noteworthy emerging tech companies globally.
The 'China IC Design Achievement Award' started in 2002. Over the past eighteen years, ASPENCORE has continuously surveyed over a million professionals in the electronics industry, accompanying and witnessing the growth and development of China's IC industry. It is one of the most watched technical awards in China's electronics and semiconductor sectors.
